The inverter’s role is to convert the DC electricity produces by the solar panels into 240V AC electricity, to enable you to utilise it in your home. Many inverters now also come with a real-time application, that allows you to monitor your solar production and energy consumption, by day, month, and even year.

Point of Interest: Typically, due to the way solar works, if anything is going to fail the inverter is the component most likely to fail or need repairing. This is due to their consistent workload, and like anything electrical, they do wear out. So regardless of your budget, We’d recommend purchasing a premium inverter. With a minimum warranty of 10 years and one that also covers parts and labor cost.
